Looking for that blessed hope...
With Winter coming to an end and Spring offering tiny glimpses of it’s coming beauty, let’s take a few moments to reflect and anticipate. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
We’ve been blessed in 2024 with church groups holding winter retreats with us almost every weekend – praise God! It’s a joy to see church families gather together, despite the cold and even snowy weather, to worship our heavenly Father! One weekend in February, we had 365 youth filling up the main sanctuary with praise! We are thankful how God has provided and kept the staff busy during what might normally be a quieter time of year. His great provision also granted the retreat the ability to replace many of the older mattresses with fresh new ones, to provide a more comfortable sleeping environment for our upcoming guests. All across the retreat, work is being done to maintain and improve accommodations for you! Age and decay can tear things down but God provides new life! This is such a sweet reminder of what Christ has done for us in our sinful condition. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Resurrection Day is in March this year and coming up quickly. We will be celebrating Resurrection Day with 3 church groups holding their retreats. How wonderful that these groups will gather to remember Christ’s resurrection together and celebrate our new life in Christ! Please keep our dedicated staff in prayer as they prepare for and serve all the groups coming each week. They need strength, health and unity to serve the Lord and His mission here at Blue Mountain Christian Retreat. Your prayers uplift the staff and bring great help! 2 Thessalonians 3:1, “… brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.”
COMING SOON!
While we are busy caring for the private church groups that come each week, we are also gearing up for our own speaker season! During this month of March, we have a special treat to kick off our events. Gwen Mouliert and her son Mat Mouliert will be joining us for a weekend family event and everyone is welcome, March 15-17, 2024! With Gwen’s wit and wonderful teachings and Mat’s testimony of healing and his faithful preaching, we are sure to enjoy an abundance of blessings. Check out the event’s section on our website, bmcr.org and call the office at 570-386-2154 to book accommodations for the weekend. And of course, if you live close by, please join us for as much of the event as you are able.
Please also check ALL of our Spring, Summer and Fall events, that are quickly coming, and make sure to be here to enjoy them all! We have a great season lined up to help you and your family grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s so important in this troubled world to get away and spend time with God and His people! “I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his Word I put my hope.” Psalm 130:5
